Age Limit for SBI Probationary Officer Exam:

Candidates who are not below 21 years and not above 30 years of age are eligible for this recruitment. Precisely, people who are born between 02-04-1990 to 01-04-1999 can apple for this SBI PO 2020 exam.

As per Govt. rules, upper age relaxation is available for people from following categories, who are applying for State Bank of India PO 2020 Recruitment.

Selection Process for SBI PO 2020:

Aspirants who applied for State Bank of India PO 2020 recruitment need to go through three phases. Those candidates who complete three phases successfully will be appointed as Probationary Officer. Following is phase wise selection procedure.

Phase I – Preliminary Exam:

Candidates who meet all the eligible criteria and successfully apply for SBI Probationary Officer recruitment process can attend this Preliminary Examination. This exam of consists of 100 Objective questions and will be conducted in Online. Each question carries 1 mark, and that make 100 Marks.

This SBI PO preliminary exam 2020 consist of 3 sections, with each section having a time limit of 20 minutes, that makes this test to be completed within a 1 hour or 60 minutes. This test consists of 3 sections, i.e., English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reason Ability with each carrying 30, 35 and 35 questions respectively.

There will be a penalty of 1/4th of mark assigned to every wrong answer.

Over 20000 candidates will be short listed from preliminary exam of SBI PO 2020. Candidates who topped as top 20000 candidates will be forwarded to Main Examination i.e., Phase II of the SBI PO 2020 recruitment procedure.

Phase II – Main Examination:

Just like Phase – I Preliminary Examination, this exam is also conducted in Online. But apart from Objective Exam there will be Descriptive Exam. Objective Examination carries 200 Marks, while the descriptive part carries 50Marks.

SBI PO Main Examination 2020 – Objective Test: With 200 marks that split to 4 sections, this total exam duration is 3hours.

SBI PO 2020 Main Examination – Descriptive Test: With 50 marks to write an Essay & Letter Writing, this test is for English Language and the duration of this exam is 30 min.

Candidates are topped in this Phase 2 of State Bank on India PO 2020 will be shortlisted in the merit list. Aspirants who are in the merit list will go through last phase of the SBI PO 2020 selection process i.e., Phase III.

Phase III – Interview & Group Discussion

In general, the phase 3 of this PO selection process consists of two sections which is of 50 marks. An Interview which is for 30 Marks & a Group Discussion (GD) for 20 Marks will be carried out normally. But because of COVID-19 Pandemic there may be a chance to conduct only interview that carries 50 marks for it. More clarity has to come on this.


Final Selection Process for SBI PO 2020:

Candidates need to qualify in both Phase II and Phase III. Total Phase II marks i.e, 250 will be converted to 75 marks and total phase III 50 marks will be converted to 25 marks. Combining a total 100 marks, candidates who topped in top 2000 will be placed an SBI PO in 2021 as per the proceedings.
