Max Bupa partners with GOQii and Swiss Re

Max Bupa recently announced its partnership with GOQi, a leading fitness technology player and Swiss Re, a leading global reinsurer. Through this partnership, the firm will be able to establish a health and wellness ecosystem within the country, besides furnishing unique health and wellness offerings.

Through this alliance, Max Bupa will be able to leverage GOQii’s personalized wellness engine, which is integrated with solutions such as health coaching and health management tools. Swiss Re will help the organization by creating relevant products and expertise for constructing future risk assessment models.

GOQii responds to consumer insights with the help of technology innovations to offer fitness products and services which blend seamlessly in a consumer’s lifestyle. The partnership has been fueled by the recent developments around health insurance guidelines, and IRDAI is stressing on a transition from ‘illness to wellness’. Customers will be able to easily secure their health, and lead healthier lives, subjected to relevant regulatory approvals. “GOQii, with its rich expertise in the digital wellness space, furnishes an ideal platform that will help us penetrate deeper into this segment and serve the large uninsured population in the country,” comments Ashish Mehrotra, MD & CEO, Max Bupa. The uptake of health insurance among customers has increased drastically within the last couple of years.

A significant percentage of customers today stay digitally influenced, which will again see a steep rise by 2020. Hence, it become pertinent to sty engaged with the digitally savvy customers. “Our strategic tie up with GOQii and Swiss Re will enable us contextualize conversations with our existing customers on the web.
